The Omron maintenance has been completed. Users may now re-sync to Omron via the Validic Marketplace.

There is currently one known issue regarding weight data from Omron. This is not related to the Validic maintenance so we are tracking it as a new issue here:

The scheduled maintenance of the Omron cloud integration has begun. We expect the maintenance to be completed before the end of the day. You can watch this status page message for updates on our progress: https://status.validic.com/incidents/wxzqvdvqgrpw

A few things you’ll need to remember:

1. During the maintenance window:

-users will not be able to connect to Omron cloud

-all users must reconnect to Omron cloud once the maintenance is complete

-data delivery from Omron cloud will be delayed until the maintenance is complete and the user
reconnects to Omron cloud

2. Historical data (records that have already been captured) from Omron cloud are expected to
continue to be available and no changes are anticipated to these records.

3. New data (records captured after Omron’s new Partner API is available) from Omron cloud are
expected to be processed into Validic and standardized into the same data measurement and
summary fields that you expect from the Omron integration today. No changes are anticipated to
the data format in Inform.

Omron has informed Validic that they are planning some major changes to their Partner API for US and Canadian users between now and July 2023. As part of these changes, the Omron Partner API will be rewritten to include:

- Security improvements
- Increased reliability
- Streamlined onboarding process

These changes are extensive and will require Validic to update the endpoints we access in our Inform Omron cloud integrations to avoid any incompatibility issues and ensure that data can be retrieved from the new Partner API successfully.

Fortunately for Inform clients, the Validic team will be doing most of the hard work to ensure a successful transition to the new Omron API. Inform clients should be aware, though, that there will also be some impact to Omron cloud end users that unfortunately cannot be avoided.

All Validic Inform clients who have Omron cloud enabled as a source will be notified via email in the next few days of what they should expect and how they can prepare for these changes.

The Validic development and product teams are already working hard to ensure this transition to the new Omron Partner API is as simple as possible for Inform clients and their end users. Validic is working closely with Omron to determine how these changes will impact Validic clients.
