As we will officially sunset our Legacy API on October 30th, here’s a quick reminder that our Legacy SDK 1.x has been deprecated for several years and will no longer be supported starting December 2, 2026. We have one more release coming for the iOS 27/Android 17 Fall update. After that release, no additional changes will be made to the v1.x SDKs.
Clients using the Legacy SDKs or wrappers are highly encouraged to move to the Inform SDK 2.x version prior to December 2026.
Will the Legacy SDK still work? We will not be updating it, so any bug fixes, OS updates, and general improvements to the SDK will be available only in the Inform SDK. In the short term, the Legacy SDK will work, but over time, it will become outdated, and any reported issues will require the client to update to the Inform SDK. Also, the legacy SDK portal will sunset in December as well.
How does my organization get access to the Inform SDK? Access to the Inform SDK 2.x starts with emailing support@validic.com to request access to the Artifactory mobile portal. Please provide the email addresses of any engineers who would need access to the mobile portal when you write in.
How do I update from the Legacy SDK to the Inform SDK? Our tutorial includes a guide for each Inform SDK option to walk you through what an update entails.
