Apple has put out a developer beta for an upcoming iOS 26.6, and it fixes the Blood Pressure permission bug from iOS 26.5. There's no timeline yet for when iOS 26.6 will be released, and of course, we would need to verify the fix when it is available. Just wanted to note that this appears to be on Apple's radar, and they are planning to address it.

Update
Our ticket with Apple has been updated to the status of "potential fix identified for a future release." Since this is an iOS HealthKit regression, there isn't much Validic can do but track the status of the ticket we opened with Apple. We have not been given an ETA on when this will be addressed on the Apple side.
For any users on iOS 26.5 that encounter this, ask them to follow the workaround below:
Workaround: Affected users can manually enable access via Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > [your app name], then toggle Blood Pressure on. Data flows normally once this is done.

Identified
Apple released iOS 26.5 today with a HealthKit regression that prevents blood pressure permission requests from completing correctly. This affects only Inform clients receiving blood pressure data through the measurement endpoint via Apple Health.
Scope is narrow: only users who grant blood pressure permission for the first time on iOS 26.5 are affected. Users who authorized blood pressure access on iOS 26.4.2 or earlier are unaffected and will continue to see data. Bluetooth-collected blood pressure readings are not affected.
Workaround: Affected users can manually enable access via Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > [your app name], then toggle Blood Pressure on. Data flows normally once this is done.
Apple Developer Relations has confirmed this is a regression. We have filed a support incident and will update this page when a fix is available. The fix would need to be on the Apple side to be clear.
